Keswick Hall is an impressive Italian style villa estate situated among its' own Arnold Palmer Signature 18-hole golf course and a luxurious spa. Part hotel, part private golf club, this estate is the perfect retreat for those who wish to combine relaxation, pampering, and the family pet. A gorgeous country setting where Thomas Jefferson country meets Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, Keswick Hall has had an interesting lineage of owners including the designer Laura Ashley!
This bucolic atmosphere makes it difficult to leave and go see the wonderful attractions nearby; Monticello, Jefferson's home is a short drive away and is pet-friendly on the grounds, (not in the buildings) as are several of the local vinyards and wineries. The perfect combination is to put the area attractions, or the on-site golf or tennis, on your list of things to do and then return to Keswick Hall for a lovely traditional afternoon tea...so civilized!
Extremely pet-friendly staff and policies. Beau was welcome everywhere on the estate with the exception of the interior food establishments, and even then the wait staff was happy to serve me with Beau in the lobby or sitting room just adjacent to the pub and restaurant. The Palmer room has outdoor dining and is pet-friendly and even the pool area is available to Beau if he is with me and properly leashed (to prevent the undeniable urge to jump into the pool!).

The reception staff came outside to meet Beau upon arrival and were prepared with a handful of treats! A very warm welcome was extended to Beau and I and upon arriving in the room we were greeted with a beautiful pet-bed, ceramic food and water bowls, and another tasty treat. Not ten minutes into our stay was there a knock on our door...it was the personal delivery of hot from the oven, bone shaped, chicken flavored flakey biscuits for Beau...he's in love, no question about it!!Guest Amenities
A spectacular spa, two pools, an outdoor hot tub, great gift shop/pro shop, and two delightful restaurants on-site! Tennis and golf on-site and local hot air balloon rides and horseback riding can be arranged by the concierge.
