The village of Squaw Valley at Lake Tahoe offers plenty of pet-friendly outdoor activities! Choose from summer gondola rides to a winter wonderland sleigh ride (www.sleighride.com) and at the Hope Valley Cross Country Ski Center, to the south of Tahoe (www.hopevalleyoutdoors.com) you can ski together but, if your headed north of Tahoe try Tahoe City's Tahoe XC (www.tahoesc.org) with 8 kilometers of pet-friendly trails.

As always, please bring appropriate clean up materials and plenty of water for both of you. You may also want to give some consideration to an appointment with your vet prior to your visit to discuss preventative actions you can take to protect your pets paws from extended exposure to the cold.
