Stepping over the threshold of the Wentworth Mansion is like stepping into another time. A time of afternoon teas, Tiffany windows and lamps, hand carved, imported marble mantles, and intricate woodwork and tilework that speak of a pride in craftsmanship and a quality of life that we have regrettably let slip by the wayside. Nothing at the Wentworth Mansion is mass-produced or fast and that is its' delight!

Located in the Historic District of downtown Charleston, its location provides a perfect base for walking to the areas abundant tourist attractions, (many of which are pet-friendly, see the Charleston SC Canine Concierge pages). Beautiful grounds, meticulous maintenance of a property with miles of millwork, a wonderful spa, and an award winning restaurant on-site combine to make the Wentworth Mansion one of the most desirable pet-friendly properties in Charleston! Beau was welcome in any room of the mansion as long as he was properly leashed.

Pet Guest Amenities

Our room was located at street level which afforded us a private entrance. This was very convenient when Beau needed to go out. We also had a private patio, allowing us to sit outside the room on occasion.

Scrumptious bath robes! Our room featured a wonderful large soaking tub right in the bedroom and a separate sitting room and private patio. Complimentary breakfast buffet at Circa 1886, the on-site restaurant each morning that was as beautiful to look at as it was to partake of and my favorite, complimentary afternoon tea served on the enclosed porch.
